This can be done in balance, I agree w/ another poster, that not all empty land needs some type of development, some of it could be preserved for agricultural purposes.

Only Houston is that big, Atlanta proper is pretty small. All they would do is consolidate if they wanted to.
All inner city lots should be developed, in my opinion, but with greenspace as well. Too much goes to the suburbs and unincorporated EBR.

The North Bypass, I assume w/ by I-110? Where had BR talked about getting a loop? Where would they build the new highway?

There has been talk for 40 years ever since it was first proposed. It would have circled the surrounding parishes and northern EBR.
North bypass would connect I-110 to I-12 or I-10. It may go all the way into WBR and end at I-10.

There will never be a loop that includes Ascension and Livingston because homeowners would reject it. Not to mention there are too many homes and neighborhoods that are in the way.

Highly doubt that as traffic gets worse. Homes were a problem for the rest of the interstates in America and they were built.
If a loop is built, it will penetrate both Livingston and Ascension.

Parish presidents do what the residents say and traffic in the suburbs surely isn't getting better.

You must not live in the area. I do. The residents are opposed to it.

I grew up in Prairieville, know it better than the back of my hand.

How do you know they are opposed to it? I don't recall much uproar.
