I cannot find any building ever built in BR that was taller than the present St. Capitol, per google search. at 34 floors and 450 feet tall I hardly call that a skyscraper.

One American Place topped out in '74, Chase Tower topped out in '68, the adjacent North Tower was topped out in '89.

"Chase Tower" won't bring up the one in BR, it normally brings up the one in Houston or the HQ in New York City. I went to Emporis.com. One American Place is on Wikipedia, it's a pretty vague name so I wouldn't be surprised if Google results were useless.

It was quite something for its time, considering the locale and the economic times.
