New Developments in North Baton Rouge (Elmwood: real estate, house, neighborhoods)

There are some very nice neighborhoods poppin up in North Baton Rouge. DR Horton is still building in Hampton Village and there is a new one that looks very promising called North Pointe Estates Moderator cut: please, no real estate listings...advertising is not allowed in state forums . Has anyone checked these or other new developments out?

Has anyone bought a house in the new subdivisions or plans to buy that can comment? These newer subdivisions have homes ranging from $200K - $400K.

The Howell Place development (www.howellplace.com) is also bringing business to the North like never before.

Hi,

We are about to buy a D R Horton home in Elmwood Park in hammond La. about 30 minutes from BR. I've read both good & bad about this builder. Their price per square foot can't be beat $91. We've seen a few things that need to be corrected and will bring them up tomorrow at the punch list walk through.

Can anyone comment on this builder? I know they use a-lot of different subs to do the work.

I don't care what or where the development is, but whenever I hear that background muzac it sends up a red flag.

What background music??? And where exactly is Hampton Village and North Pointe Estates? This is interests because I have a lot of hope for North Baton Rouge -- they need not be neglected.
