Default New job in North Baton Rouge, where to live?

I'm considering a move to BR, one of the jobs I'm looking at would be near Plank Rd and Airline. I'm wondering where's a good place to live for a single renter, I want a safe area, decent commute, and don't particularly want college kids beating on the walls at 3AM.

How are Zachary and Baker? Are there decent apartments up that way? Any estimate of commute time in the morning down to Airline Hwy? There seem to be a few different north-south roads that go down to Airline, just trying to get a feel for how well they carry commuter traffic at peak times.

I'd also welcome any recommendations on safe places to the south and how the drive would be (from reading the forums I guess I should be looking at things south of Florida Blvd?)
