My husband and I will be coming to BR for a visit this upcoming weekend and I need some good ideas for restaurants. Where is the best mufaletta? (hope I spelled that right) We want good cajun food that is between $10-13 for lunch and $13-18 for dinner. Thanks for any suggestions!

One last question - we are already planning on hitting Tsunami for dinner on Saturday night, do we need reservations for just the two of us?

Thanks

You don't have to have reservations for Tsunami's, but it's recommended, especially for larger groups. For you two, you'll probably be fine. For a group of 5 of us, it was an hour wait on a Saturday night with a prom going on at the River Center, so I guess that's an exception. The previous time, it was 3 of us at 6pm on a Friday and we got in no problem. It's a great experience up there. You'll love it.
For cajun, try Boutins on Bluebonnet. It's pretty authentic, fairly cheap, and offers live music most nights.

Hi, we love Dempseys rest on Coursey Blvd. I think it has the best Chicken and Sausage Gumbo in Louisiana! I agree with the post about Boutin's. It is a fun place. We also like the Cabin Rest in Sorrento.

My recommendations:

Mike Andersons

Ralph and Kaccoo's

Between the two above, though, Mike Andersons wins

I would avoid Don's Seafood
