Question Single professional twentysomethings

I moved to Baton Rouge a few months ago and it seems like everyone is married, has a family, is retired, or is in or just out of college. Does anyone have suggestions as to where single twentysomethings gather?

I rather avoid the minivan hotspots and college party scene.

Ringside at Sullivans is a great place. They generally have live music and the crowd is more young professional than college. However, finding a place without a large crowd of LSU students is difficult as it is a college town.

I would also check out the places downtown such as Tsunamis, Boudreaux and Thibodeaus, Avoyelles, and Roux House. These bars will have less of a college feel as the age requirement is 21 unlike the bars in Tiger Land. Also a good resource to look up different bars and restaurants is .:: 225BatonRouge.com ::.

I heard Broadmoor Methodist had an active singles group. Plus, when my wife and I took a tennis class at BREC, we noticed lots of single unattached twentysomething girls.
Beyond that, LSU has Leisure classes, and I'd look for the following: (1) the Fun section in the Friday paper, and (2) 225 magazine

Singles Ministries
