Open rooms in Baton Rouge hotels?
My husband and I left before the storm and we're glad we did as 2 trees fell on our house. We'd like to be closer so we can start getting things fixed and cleaned up, but our house is not in great condition right now.
By any chance, does anyone know of any Baton Rouge (or close by) hotels with rooms available? I tried the hotel availability website on the BR emergency page and while it says that everything is sold out, it also says that office is without power and won't be open until Monday. I'm hoping that since a lot of people are heading back to New Orleans (or so I've heard), some rooms are starting to open up.
We do have a cat. We just want clean and safe, electricity and water...nothing fancy is needed.
Thought it couldn't hurt to ask....
