Student Intern Looking for Housing During December
Hi,
I'll be interning in Baton Rouge this December, and I was wondering what housing options were available for this sort of thing. I only need to fulfill 60 hours, so I won't be staying there long at all. If the business decides to keep me until next semester begins, then I'll be staying the rest of the month and maybe a week or so into January. Is there any place that will offer something for that short of a period of time?
Thanks!
Michael

I'm sure those type of places, short term leases, exist, but I'm unaware of them. I would get out and look, call some apartment management companies (local) and ask them. Maybe they can refer you to someone they know. Maybe someone here will know.
If it's only going to be 4 weeks, what about extended stay hotels?

As the previous poster says, there are numerous apartments that do not require a lease. I actually rented one years ago, although the only thing I remember is that it was on Perkins Road between Kenilworth and Essen.

Mansions in the Park | 7250 Perkins Road - BATON ROUGE, LA 70808, Apartment Rentals on Move.com
This wouldn't happen to be what you're talking about, is it? A bit pricey for the amount of time I'm likely to be there, but it's exactly where you described. And that location would actually be a perfect place to stay, as it's only 10 minutes where I'll be interning. I'll just have to see if there's something a bit cheaper.
