Default Temporarily moving to Baton Rouge

Helo all.
I am temporarily moving to Baton Rouge(approx 2-3 months) and am looking for a safe furnished rental. Safety is my #1 priority, as I have a small child, I am also looking for something easily accessible to north br.........because that is where my fiance' will be working (heard it's not the safest place to be). Any suggestions?

I would stay away from anything North of Florida Boulevard. There are a few bad areas scattered around in the southern half of the city, including old south Baton Rouge, which is the area between the I-10 Mississippi River Bridge and North gates of LSU. Also the neighborhoods off of Gardere Lane between Nicholson Drive and Burbank Drive aren't good. And there are a few others, but these two are the largest bad areas in the southern part of the city. Anyplace immediately around LSU is likely going to be full of students. If he will be working in North Baton Rouge you may want to consider Zachary or Central.

Definitely a safe area. Barely a mile from my house. As for the facility itself, I haven't heard great things. Supposedly it's one of those "purely for profit" type of places where they rush to get them built and use shabby materials. They say the walls are paper thin. IMO Reserve is overpriced and you could probably find a better deal.

IMO, the Reserve is overpriced. There's a new place right behind it now but it's even more overpriced (Millenium Towne Center).
You can't beat the neighborhood though. It is good.
I'm not sure about most places when it comes to 'furnished' rentals.
