Default Azalea Park or Blvd de Province

I found a couple of places on these two streets: Azalea Park or Blvd de Province. Any input on these areas? are they safe areas to live? Not worried about school district. No kids

You do not want Boulevard de Province. Hear of break-ins, shootings, etc. I don't know where Azalea Park is.

Ditto that. Don't live on Blvd de Province. Crime appears to be pretty rampant there.
Azalea Park is off Old Hammond on the east side of town. Not sure about the record of some places out there. It's not Bocage, but it's not Gardere either.

If by "Azalea Park" you're talking about those duplexes between Flannery and Millerville, they're kind of slummy and have the added disadvantage of being next to some not so nice apartments.

Yea, I concur with everybody else...definitely not Blvd. de Province. Crime infested. I grew up around the corner from Azalea Park near where Best Buy is now and never really heard anything bad about it but would drive by all the time and it was an eye-sore. Run down. You can do a lot better than those two.

Some safer areas you may wanna check out would be O'Neal Ln. and S. Harrell's Ferry, Coursey Blvd. and Sherwood Forest, Coursey and Stumberg and also Cedarcrest. They're all on the same side of town except south of I-12.

Some thoughts.....

(1) There are low income apartments (St Jean) near Harrells Ferry/O'Neal, and the duplexes in that area aren't too well maintained. So that area is a little on the iffy side
(2) There are Section 8 apartments on Cedarcrest right behind Duplessis Cadillac, and the duplexes around the corner don't look too great either.
(3) Coursey is OK between Sherwood Forest and Jones Creek. Between Sherwood Forest and Cedarcrest is Southpark and Sherwood Commons. Sherwood Commons is probably OK; I would NOT recommend Southpark.
(4) Stumberg is OK, as is the Castlebrook apartments on S Sherwood. There is also the Atrium near the Piccadilly on Sherwood which is OK. Not crazy about the apartments on Newcastle and Longridge
(5) There are some new apartments at Millerville/I-12 which are newer and seem to be OK. The apartments at Millerville/South Harrells Ferry seem ok.

If you are not a crack-head, and don't want to be possibly robbed, or walking over trash when you come home, avoid this area at all cost.
