Interested in taking Salsa Lessons in Baton Rouge
Hi all,
I've recently moved to Baton Rouge from Houston 2 weeks ago, and I've been looking around for some dance studios in the area that teach Salsa. I've taken lessons for a couple of months already and would like to resume here, since I will be living here for a couple of years. I've tried searching online, telephone directories, etc. but I just can't find any places that teach Salsa. If anyone can throw some names my way, I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks.
-Paul

There was a feature article in The Advocate recently on dance classes around town. Don't know if salsa was one of those offered. You might search their site.

have fun
I am looking for dance classes/events in Atlanta.
One group does Cajun/Zydeco dancing.
Salsa, Swing--I would love to go dancing again.
Danced under the silver ball, did a little buck dancing...
I love to watch the ball room competitions on TV.
Wish I had some etoufee?--or a beignet--your food is too hard to spell. Tasty, though.

Salsa Addict - I'm not looking for a 12 step program; just a steady fix!
I started taking salsa lessons a year ago, in of all places, Iowa. (I used the term salsa dancing to include; Salsa, Bachata, Cha-Cha, Merengue, and Cumbia.) Well it is addictive and now that I have relocated to Baton Rouge I've needed to feed my addiction. I found that there is club, 600 Main, (the club is located at 600 Main St. downtown, Baton Rouge) that has salsa lessons on Friday nights from 9:00-10:00pm and dancing from 10:00pm - until. Actually, they play mostly salsa music until about midnight and then the music is more Ragatone; a Caribbean beat with a club/mix flava.
Couples, single ladies and men come by; it's a good time. My main focus is on enjpyoing the dance and having fun!!!
I am not an instructor; I've only been taking lesson a year or so myself, but I know enough to teach the basics, so that you will have a solid foundation. If you’d like to contact me for free lessons/instruction my email is luv2fly57@yahoo.com. Please include ‘salsa’ in the subject line otherwise it might get deleted.
