I always say that you should live in Prarieville/CCLA-Santa Maria area/LSU Lakes/Univesity Club/subdivisions off Highland Road.

Consider a private school with these places.

If you want a sprawling, boring, Christian suburb with OK public schools..consider Zachary/Livingston Parish/Central area. St. Francisville has a good school system due to the nuclear power plant.

Are you looking for a house or for an apartment?

There are several good apartment complexes on Jefferson Highway. As well as a few on Essen Lane. Since your office would be in the triange formed by the I-10 and I-12 split, it would be relatively easy to get there from residential areas like Shenandoah and Old Jefferson. You can usually get more house for the money over in that direction.

Default Thank you for information

I really appreciate quick response to my thread. I am actually looking for an apartment.
I might not look for house at this moment, but will think after some time. Thank you.

That part of Jefferson Highway (from Old Hammond Highway to Airline) has plenty of apartments to choose from (of varying price ranges), as does nearby Essen Lane. None in that area are really bad, so I'd travel on both roads and check out the complexes to see what you like.

There is one big caveat - if you're trying to get your children into a school, I wouild NOT recommend the East Baton Rouge Parish public schools. So the Prairieville suggestion would then be the best way to go.
