I've seen a couple of stores that sell supplies, one in mid city off Gov't street, another in on the corner of Perkins and Siegen in the shopping center that Tuesday Morning and the DMV is in. Sorry I can't remember the names of the stores, but they probably would be able to help you. Perahps you can google jewelry supplies, baton rouge and call some stores that come up. Also check BREC, they have crafting classes sometimes, however I haven't noticed if jewelry making is one of them.

For supplies try Thunderbird and Rio Grande. If you get stuck on a project DM me and I'll try to help. I have been fabricating gold and silver jewelry as a hobby as well as a profession off and on for 38 years. Just fabrication though, I have no casting experience. I never took any classes I just taught myself as I went along. Picture below are two US silver coins that I cut by hand with a piercing saw. My Arthritis is keeping me from doing much work anymore.

Hi nbcattleya! Are you looking for stringing classes (basic, kind of simple stuff) or something else? I can probably steer you in the right direction for findings, etc. I'm a lampwork artist and make glass cabinet knobs but used to make lampwork beads for jewelry. You could try the Baton Rouge Bead Company. They have a few upcoming classes: Baton Rouge Bead Company Current Class Schedule
