It's not like I'm thrilled about doing so (riding on main streets), but I do my best to go with the flow of traffic and to be courteous.

Now, as to the "ride where ever they won't and cut through traffic and for the most part have no idea what a hand signal is or a red light or stop sign", I'd happily address that statement. Some cyclists don't signal and don't get the whole traffic flow concept. But many do. As to running stop signs, many of us only do so if there is no car nearby, and we look both ways first. Some don't, and I think that's where some of this "cycliing love" comes from.
I know several full time bicycle riders and Ya'll are not the problem in My area around LSU it is the students for the most part.Around the lakes is not a problem but the city just does not keep the lanes up.One thing I really do not like is the situation on River Rd.Thank goodness out there most of the riders are long time riders and I do not get bothered by them ,it's the road surface that scares Me.I have been thrown from one side to the other on My motorcycle I wish the would put the bicycles on the levee with pavement all the way to NO,And some nice rest areas The view from there is outstanding. What troubles me about the stop signs and lights is I am under the impression bike riders are supposed to follow reg' traffic laws ,is this incorrect?

Improved for the better in some ways . There's a lot of things going on , and planned for the future that I have huge problems with . Comparing him to any other Mayor doesn't raise his stock any , and is meaningless .

We used to call him "Homer" - he was a disaster.

Yes, bike riders have the same rights, priviliges, and responsibilities as cars and motorcyclists.

River Road between Brightside and Gardere is a joke in terms of road quality. Between Brightside and the Vet School, student drivers are a problem. But I do believe there is some federal money available that will soon extend the levee path to Farr Park and (hopefully) points further south.

Actually, it is anything but meaningless. It means this town is moving farther and farther in the right direction. It's just that some people always have to find something to complain about. Baton Rouge is never gonna be good enough for some people just because it is Baton Rouge. Nothing more.

Not dodging anything. I have no reason to.

Accept my answer or don't. It doesn't really matter to me.
