Just wanted to let everyone know that yesterday was the first day of the Bend Farmers Market.

Bend Farmers Market*|*

Wednesdays 3–7 pm, June 6 – October 10.
In the Brooks Alleyway (behind the Tower Theater) off of Franklin Street in downtown Bend.

Fridays 2–6pm, June 8 – September 28th.
At St. Charles Medical Center in the parking lot adjacent to Neff Road

---
I walked down yesterday and picked up salad stuff and Strawberries. They were great on my walk home.

Also, while I was walking through Drake there were a bunch of kids wearing 'Deschutes River-ers' t-shirts presenting projects and such. Child river advocates? If so, CHILDREN, where do you stand on the damn Damn issue and all the silt!

I'm going to focus more on buying from the farmer's market this year, rather than growing so much of my own. I love to garden, but after 3 years of dealing with the weather challenges here, I will focus on cool weather crops and buy the rest. I'll probably have strawberries by July. My patch is big!
