I would hardly say Steve provided enlightening answers. I know why Californians in general are disliked. All you have to do is read any of the threads in any of the state forums to see it. But really, I was just sharing that I haven't known anyone in Bend that is originally from CA or moved here directly from the state to have been discriminated against because of it. I've already established that in previous replies.
I don't really care about the California issue, I am just pointing out that it really doesn't have anything to do with the OP. You are the one that seems so adamant about it. And, yes, I did say warm and welcoming of all.
All being the key word. I don't have friends that say, oh hey, welcome to Bend...unless you are from California. That's kinda where this is going. I'm done with it.

Seriously? I never said 100% of all people like all Californians. Just like not everyone likes Texans. Or (insert other locale here). I've heard the reasons why Californians are disliked.

On this forum I have observed the most complaining about Bend, blaming, stereotyping and unwelcoming attitude from the "supposedly" longest residing posters to the discussion. There are times it seems the worst representatives of Bend are the ones here posting on the forum.
Thankfully your 10 months in Bend have been positive. (except for the job frustrations)
