Had 4 this morning at my place.. had an appointment in La Pine and car temp gauge went to -4 on the drive there and that was after 9am...

Looks like a few more inches of snow tomorrow morning and perhaps ending as ice of light rain??

More good snows in the mountains !!

Beautiful yes but the roads are getting slick. Wouldn't be so bad if everyone had snow tires.

Agree and please drove appropriate speeds. I was nearly creamed by a teenage boy in a Toyota pickup on Tuesday. I was coming north below Deschutes Brewery he was going way to fast on the turn and slid sideways into my lane. Thankfully I was watching and managed to stop before he crashed into me. The round a bouts and intersections are bad and getting worse.

The round-a-bouts are a mess in this weather.

And it might be changing to freezing rain this afternoon. That will really make the roads ugly.

Remember....just because people are going fast and acting like a nicely polished icy road is dry pavement, doesn't mean they are getting away with it. I personally prefer to go a bit slower and get to my destination a couple minutes later, than playing bumper cars. Its not like anything is a long drive around here anyway.

I have already seen one flipped and rolled macho 4WD drive truck, even before the snow hit town, when I was coming back from snowshoeing at the sno-parks. Apparently people like to come back from Bachelor at 70+mph. I was doing 60mph and had a backup behind me, even with pulling over whenever I could. But hey, only the curves were icy on that day. You would think the two cops looking over the road edge at the totalled truck with a smashed in roof and its windows all popped out, would have slowed down traffic.

I just came in from removing snow from the eaves with the roof rake. I somehow disregarded my annual advice to have a snow shovel ready well before the first snow. I know I own at least three snow shovels and can't find a single one. My front porch looks like the approach to Santa's workshop.

My mailbox has already been wiped out by a driver going too fast around the curve on the snow. It happens at least three times every winter. I don't even plant the mailbox, it is just propped up in a cinder block. No point in digging a hole for a mail box post 3-4 times every year.

My studded tires are in the back of my car. I haven't had any luck finding a place that has time to put them on the car. The tire places are slammed. My son usually does it, but he was sent out of town for his work.

Looks like about 6" so far here in Redmond. Plows are working the main streets and ignoring the residential, as usual. Should get above freezing today, so that will help.
