I have seen several posters recommend negotiating with vacation rental owners for a long-term rental as a first step towards moving to Hawaii. I'm moving to Hilo next month. I am looking for a 2 bed, 1 bath house. Would anyone be willing to offer an opinion as to where you would start negotiating for a house that's listed for 2k a month as a vacation rental? I have no idea!
