Has anyone else looked at some news sites this morning? Mainly comment areas? Why is everyone complaining about the evacuation? I have done field trips with my kids to the Tsunami museum in Hilo and I believe the devastating Tsunami in the 60's was caused by an earthquake that wasn't much bigger than the one in BC.
I was also watching the news last night, which was focused on Waikiki? One of the least likely places to be affected?

KHNL made a point over and over that there was no lighting on the outer islands sufficient to put on the air - and apologized for it. It isn't like you can put a person there during a Tsunami warning.

Right, I should have mentioned, much like the houses that they were at........somewhere, I forget now. My Auntie's brother contacted them and offered, to no avail. I will say I was kinda disturbed watching Waikiki though, there was a person just walking in and out of the water. Maybe got a lil too much to drink at that Halloween thing?

There is always some idiot regardless of the time of year where they walk on the beach or go in the water during a Tsunami Warning.
