Are the Police in Puna helpful for the most part ?

Mangodog, have you gone to the Punaweb forum (also called Punatalk). There are huge, revealing stories first-hand on that forum. Just search. I have no first-hand information. Haven't needed them or been stopped by them or had my wreck yet!

lived here a little over 3 years, moved from Honolulu. No rookies here. The one's I've met were much cooler, down to earth guys. Been pulled over 3 times, 2 for speeding (got warning), 3rd time, got a police escort to emergency at 4 AM - kidney stones.

DerekS, like to hear news like that ! It warms my heart to hear of obvious control and clean slate use of power. BTW, for kidney stones, do you have any idea of what brought them on ? Did you eat lots of apples and some good cranberries (and or juice) prior to you ever having been diagnosed of the same ? I hear of too many people who think they can just eat cooked foods and a "banana" and think that is adequate fruit consumption. PLEASE TELL....

It's probably because my diet closely resembles a garbage receptacle! I drink too much diet pepsi so that might have something to do with it. Funny thing, doctors can't even tell me why. After 3 "attacks" so far, I have not heard one cause that all doctors agree on.

BTW, the cop thing is just my experiences. I've met other people that will tell you the exact opposite!
It's best to be cool with cops no matter where you are.
