Those of us who live on the Big Island often recommend that folks thinking of moving here spend some time reading the local papers (Hawaii Tribune Herald and West Hawaii Today) on-line as well as watching web-casts of local news.

Big Island Video News - Hawaii and highly recommend it as a resource for anyone considering a move here. You can view news video about Big Island issues as well as take virtual tours of different parts of the island. There are archives back to July 2008 when the site was started.
