Does anyone have this company on the Big Island, especially in the Hilo/South Hilo/HPP/Puna areas, etc.?

Mobi PCS

What do you like? Dislike? Pricing for unlimited usage looks good.

Just talked with a friend in Volcano yesterday who mentioned he had a new Mobi phone and number. He said he was getting fantastic reception and service. He changed precisely for that unlimited usage and pricing etc.

Son used to have TMobile and had excellent coverage. I have AT&T which is also good coverage. However there are quite a few spots on the island where you will get no reception no matter what company you use.

If you are out of state, it would depend upon who's actual service they had contracted with - they cannot possibly have their own cell towers all over the mainland. I think is why they have separate pricing for nationwide roaming vs Hawaii-only coverage.

yes: mobi is good because of no contact unlimited talk time but wish they had more cell towers on the big island and wish they would have the hele wireless internet on the big island. lots of the rural neighborhoods dont have internet (high speed) were i live in the sticks no internet service except for dail up. i have a mobi cell phone works okay in my house but only gets one bar signal somedays maybe two bars. this is up in glenwood area on the big island (east side of the island) but all in all i like it. this would be good for mobi to act quickly on putting up more cell towers on the big island they can make major $$$ get the HELE going on the big island PRONTO.

Can anyone tell me how MOBI PCS reception is on the Big Island? My family lives on the Kona side, and I want to know. The reviews that I see are not too recent. Posted 9/29/12.
