Too many times to count. Probably the easiest hookbills to breed. As for fun, not sure what your idea of fun is. Read up on it, look for similar advice from various authors. There is good and bad advice out there. You do not need a degree to get a book published.

What do you do with the babies once they reached 3 months old?

Most people sell their babies once they are old enough.

its fun if you like telling frineds "sorry i cant stay more than 3 hours ive got to get back to feed the babies"
hand feeding takes a lot of time...but nessicary if you realy want to keep your selling market open, people will not pay much for a baby unless its been handfed.

i also don't suggest a beginner randomly trying to hand feed babies, find a bird breeder locally to teach you how to hand feed before tyring it, especially with tiny babies like budgies.

Parents raised parakeets, as long as they are socialized at early age, they will be tame! Get your facts straight!

I didn't say they wouldn't "tame" so mabe you should actually read responces before assuming.
what I said is
Quote:
people will not pay much for a baby unless its been handfed.
so you can breed half arsed, let the parents raise the babies, sell em cheap and hope you get homes for them because you have some strange fascination with wathing birds breed or something, OR you can put in some real time and effort, pull the babies at about 10 days hand feed them to weaning, and understand why people breed for joy and not just because its something to do or to make a quick $10
handfeeding baby birds does take time energy and effort...
but its also an interesting unique experience and the reason people who breed PET birds do it is that love an enjoyment.

Im not quite sure how letting 2 budgies breed and not seeing or interacting with the babies until there weaned and its time for them to go home would be "fun" or "interesting"
the time that would go into fully socializing a parent raised bird...you might as well hand feed!

Bird shows. I bought my English Budgie from a breeder at 9 weeks old. One of the friendliest birds I've ever owned.

Parent hatched babies is for amateurs, try hatching and hand feeding from day 1.
