I can't recommend a particular rescue group as they are usually local only. Such rescue groups are usually not statewide or national and are usually regional by county or city. I have been out of the local bird community for so long, I would have to ask a local vet, pet store or humane society for a recommendation. I am afraid I can't be of more help on that topic.

I laughed out loud at this (could not post for a couple of days due to formatting issues, but they seem to have been worked out by C-D). I wonder if my kitties would approve of a t-shirt with birds on it?

In case I miss you all, have a wonderful (secular) New Year. Here's hoping that 2021 will be great for all!

For those who may have noticed the latest meme theme of "Bernie at the Inauguration" coursing through the Interwebs...

I couldn't resist making one of my own.

Very good. I got a good laugh in the light of the numerous Facebook versions of that picture of Bernie or as I like to refer to as "Uncle Bernie". Just a friendly nickname as I like to call him.

A lot of us are very fond of Uncle Bernie. (Including lovebirds!)

Lol! I just saw this pic and asked my SO, "What, is their some sort of Bernie-themed (mittens) meme thing going around?" (we had already seen one on his FB that showed Cheech and Chong in a car with Bernie in the back seat). Then I saw your explanation. Thanks for the laugh.

EDIT: Love this thread, by the way.

Thank you! A lot of people also seem to like Birdie Sanders. (He's hiding a beak under that face-mask.)
