Hey, I'm a college student who absolutely loves to dance and I love country music. Wondering if any of yall know of any country themed dance clubs or bars in the Birmingham area?

Thank you so much!

Not sure I would consider any around Birmingham to be true "country" a la Nashville. Many would be considered typical redneck type bars that happen to play country music. As far as country "clubs", none.

It's very surprising that a city as large as Birmingham doesn't have a country dance hall given it's size and demographics. I was there last year and couldn't find one. Even looked in the yellow pages. There used to be a decent one in Huntsville called Hogg Wild. Not sure if it's open anymore.

Razin' Kane in Alabaster is the only country bar I've ever been to in the Birmingham area.

Dang, wish I had knew about that place when I was there. I'll have to hit it up next time I'm in town.

I've seen a number of country bars that have karaoke and stuff like that. I'm guessing that's not what you're looking for?

I think Vorpal may be looking for something a la Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville? As far as I know, you won't find anything like that in Birmingham.

I'm a cab driver in Birmingham and pick people up at bars all over town. No, there are no country bars in Birmingham. Marty's at 5 points south will occasionally have countryish bands but it's definately not a "country" bar.
