Hey, where are the good places to go on the 4th? Places with fireworks and maybe music?

The UAB Community Concert Band puts on a patriotic concert in front of Bartow Arena. It finishes up just as the fireworks are starting, and you can see the Red Mountain fireworks from there. It's Free.

If you are south of town, try the American Village in Montevallo. The Montevallo Community Band and I think some other bands are playing and there are fireworks there as well. I think there is an admission charge.

I think Alabama Adventure also does fireworks at the park. I don't know about the cost.
