Default best bbq in b'ham ?

Just curious as to people's opinions. I love barbecue and can't wait to have some when we move !

Any other restaurant recommendations would be greatly appreciated, too !!

Oh, and Bagel places ?? Is crestline bagels any good ?

(anyone try that cuban restaurant out by hoover I think ?? My kids love black beans and rice, and I haven't mastered that recipe yet).

Can you tell I am hungry this morning ??

Thanks in advance !

Best BBQ in my opinion is Jim 'N Nicks... they have a website. They have locations in Five Points, Gardendale, Hoover, etc. Excellent BBQ, baked beans, and fries. You'll also probably end up wanting to order extra cheese biscuits... yum.

Some other good BBQ places: Top Hat, Johnny Rays, Carlisles, etc.

I do not know about your cooking - my sauce does not have an unpleasant odor. duck, run, grin

Dry rubbed baby back ribs, slowly going on top of the smoker and the last hour on low heat on the fire. Cold beer, crunchy cornbread, corn and good company. Everyone can walk home:>) Dinner at 19:00.

When and where did you plan a cook off?

The best Barbecue I've had in the Birmingham area is Jim Deerman's in Forestdale.
