Green Springs Road, is that in the Pasaldina's(am I spelling it correctly) road where there's a Wal Mart Neighborhood Market(never been btw) and Food World?
Palisades? That's the Walmart area.
Make sure you look for Green Springs Highway. I think there's a separate green springs road. Birmingham loves to use near repeat street names to confuse us all.

Where do you go to college? Studying any English?

Hot Pockets, frozen dinners I buy for a $1, instant noodles, and sometimes fast food

I'm not that good of a cook.

Are you a grammarholic? And I'm a UAB student.

I found that out the hard way. I'm slowly learning the streets though

If you have transportation - PM me. There is always enough for one more at our table.

That choice of diet may be your only option while you are a struggling college student but i would advise dumping it for something a lot more healthier at your earliest convenience as long term this type of diet will lead to all manner of health issues later in life, obesity and diabetes are a given..
Advice from a Dad with kids in college.

Foodsmart off of Crestwood is cheap, just make sure what you buy is not expired. They have a lot of 5 for 19.99 deals on meats, which can feed you for quite some time. Also, some dollar stores have frozen foods and a lot of canned/boxed items.

Cool, will check them out.

@jambo: I don't eat them all the time, especially the noodles though I can do a little better with my diet

You might want to check out Angelfood network. It is a nonprofit group. Here is a listing of the sites in B'ham
https://www.angelfoodministries.com/...&search=Search

There are no income requirements but you do get a lot of food for the money. You get all the food in the box listed. This is this months menu.
https://www.angelfoodministries.com/...2010-09_en.asp

You pay in advance and can order online. You pick up on the last Saturday of the month (pickup at your site). I have bought them all and the only one I don't care for is the convenience meals.
Most of the food is restaurant quality.
