Moving from Chicago to Birmingham !
Hello everybody.
I'm a French postdoc and I will move at the end of this month to Birmingham to work at UAB. I'm looking for an apartment to rent not far from UAB to be able to go there by walking or with a bicycle. I heard that Homewood apartments along Valley avenue are in a unsafe area and apartments have lots of problems (need long time to fix problem, lazy maintenance people, horrible manager, rodent problems, health problems, ...). Are there peoples living in Mountains Woods, Magnolia Park, or Overlook at Homewood to tell me if everything is true ? These places seem to be very nice on websites like
