Hey guys, just wondering if you could give me some suggestions as far as what area of town has the best bar scene for people in their mid to late 20s? Thanks.

This. Some great music venues, great restaurants, and great nightclubs. Plus there are some good places scattered in between on Highland Avenue such as the Garages, Rojo.

There are also some good bars and clubs in downtown Birmingham. On first ave north there's The Wine Loft, Steel 1st and 23rd and Matthews Bar. On second ave. north there's Rougue Tavern, Pale Eddies and the Metro Bar (formerly Metro Bistro). Third avenue has Speakeasy. Above is a popular spot on the roof of the Redmont Hotel on 5th avenue north. And of course there's The Furnace, a gentlemans club on 28th street.

Speakeasy is a pretty cool place. Keep wanting to try out Above but haven't had a chance yet.
