Default I-65 from Fultondale to Gardendale is horrible?

Is it just me or is the newly paved road from Walker Chapel rd to Mt Olive rd really bumpy and bouncy? At first I thought the wheels were bent or bearings gone bad, but I can feel the vibration on all three of my cars. I don't feel the vibration anywhere else on I-65..not saying its good or anything.

Here is a similar situation in Yakima, Washington

Deason says the problem is money. Yakima is taking on jobs it normally would have contracted out. Budget cuts mean it can no longer afford to hire others to do it.

Projects that would have been handled by a construction company's smooth roller are handled by the city’s old piece of equipment instead. The results are the uneven roads.

Now Im not sure if Fultondale or Gardendale is doing what Yakima did by not contracting it out to save money. What ever the reason is, The road needs to be repaved. If possible, a thick pavement so it doesn't need to be redone every 10 years.
