Default Birmingham Knitters and Potters :>)

Crafts are not my forte but I have a dear friend visiting and she is a talented potter and knitter. Can you help me with information on yard shops and potters who may offer one-on-one sessions? She does great free hand work but has not had an opportunity to try a wheel. Thank you.

Well, it just so happens my friend Fran Nagy opened an art gallery/clay studio called Imagine Partners in Art a little over a year ago. Home
Her studio is located in Avondale in a really cool old building that was occupied by a masonic lodge since it was built around the turn of the century. A lot of interesting stories about the place and she even created a mini museum with some of the items that were left behind when the masons sold the building. Don't worry, they came back later and took the dead bodies though.

She offers classes and has a fun weekly clay workshop called Clay & Cocktails. I've been to several of her Clay & Cocktails classes but I shouldn't go near a wheel, it would be a waste of clay.

Thank you so much.

My only attempt with a wheel caused a rather unappetizing sound and a big mess on the other side of the studio:>)

Not a problem. Let me know if your friend ends up deciding to check it out. If she has any questions tell her not to hesitate to e-mail Fran. Tell Fran Aimee sent you.

At least CNN! Let's go global with it! Or are you talking about the Crown on the bottom of the coffee cup?
