My wife and I will be moving to Birmingham in the next couple of weeks. Could anyone suggest an area to live that would offer a small community feel, walk to restaurants, church etc. Also we would like to have a pool. The only area I have seen is Trussville and it is ok but I'm from Ohio and enjoy small towns and amenities within walking distance. Safety is ultimately important of course and we have no children so schools are not a big issue. Thank You in advance, Bob

I'd take a look at Ross Bridge in Hoover. Signature has some great new home communities with a lot of the amenities you want: http://www.e-signaturehomes.com
