Does anyone have any recommendations for reputable home inspectors in the greater Birmingham area?

I second David Wandrisco. I've used him in the past and he does a great job. Check and make sure, though, that he does a true roof inspection (I can't remember). A lot of inspectors don't get on the roof, or don't speak to the details of the roof, so you may want to get a roof person out there specifically for that.

Thanks so much for your suggestions. I'll check them out. Our realtor had also suggested Home Rite (among others), but we were concerned about a potential conflict of interest.
