Friends, it is with great sadness that I report that Tau Poco, the Chris DuPont global street food concept, has seemingly closed. It sat right next to Cafe DuPont on 20th St for the past 3-4 years, but now a "Manhattan Delicatessen" banner hangs above the storefront. While this hardly affects the warpspeed progression of our city's food scene, there is sadness in losing one of the true purveyors of international cuisine in the metro, and one my favorite lunch spots. Business was always extremely meh so this is not so surprising.

Local casualties will be a part of the growth and development pains, but this one hurt. Me anyway.

speaking of regions field and good people... whatever happened to beer engineers? is their sign still up next to good people?


pretty sure it's dead, but would love to see something go in that spot.
