This pivot will keep them out of the stocking product directly business model which translates to a much smaller warehouse footprint demand for themselves. There will be a higher demand for 3P Vendor warehouse space but those warehouses don't necessarily mean the same thing geographically.

For us (auto parts business), we've seen a HUGE change in where items are shipped, to who'm they're shipped, and the vendors outside of Amazon that we're doing business with.

The next time you buy something from Amazon Prime take a close look at who you're doing business with. It will say "Shipped and Sold by Amazon.com" or will say something like "Sold by (brand X) and shipped by Amazon" or will say "Shipped and sold by (brand A)". The later being the reason for the reduced inventory position needed by Amazon.

A good read, but not the entire story - https://www.forbes.com/sites/kirimas.../#18967b7c2846

Kind of like FedEx, which really uses other, smaller transportation firms. Makes sense.

The building has largely been rehabbed and has been mostly dormant for the last couple of years. It is basically in a "build to suit" mode. I think the updates trumpeting Parkside's development and beauty and rebirth while generally true is meant to attract other potential developers and projects to use their space. Essentially they are advertising their space to potential tenants.

Yeah that is what I have long heard that Alabama Power is just waiting for the right person to come along and do something with it. It is a huge building, someone could do something really awesome with it.

Sobering look at the limited healthy food options for most city residents. Looks like the city is taking a serious look at addressing food deserts, perhaps financial incentives for big box and mom and pops grocers is officially on the table. I am in support. https://www.wvtm13.com/article/nearl...-says/26938870

Outstanding! Sounds like with all of those components, we'd be looking at a fairly substantial building height, especially for that district.
