I myself live in metro Atlanta, but my uncle once lived in Helena, and it is a nice place. The downtown is a nice little quaint place with nice shops and restaurants alongside a river. The homes are more affordable. The only downside is that the main road to get to the main highway and/ or I-65 is two-laned, and it constantly backs up with traffic. It, furthermore, crosses railroad tracks, which can make a long commute longer.

My uncle now lives in Vestavia Hills.
