Texas and Georgia have had some success, although with them it's more of a case of their largest metros preventing their states from becoming rabidly conservative to the point of becoming economically harmful. Tennessee is the state that somewhat surprises me in this regard; despite having larger metros, it's more conservative than my native SC.

An education is an education. Not to downplay the prestige, but it's 2017. There are hundreds of Universities. It's just that the Northeast was established first. MIT is the only one that's still truly prestigious within that list.

Come on Justin, "Harvard,Babson,Tuffs,Boston College,U. Mass" include some great schools. Well maybe Harvard isn't so prestigious since they let me attend. Oh, I see some of your confusion: Tufts is prestigious but "Tuffs" is one I've never heard of. I've liked Tufts since they released a study saying dark beer is good for you.

Anyways, the University means nothing if you cannot do the job. I'll leave it at that.

Boston would be a great city for Amazon though. However, based upon the list of criteria, I think that it's going somewhere in the South.

I would say sorta. Texas still in this day and age is still seen as a rabidly anti-LGBTQ and civil rights state hence why you don't see much LGBTQs aside from Houston and to a certain extend DFW. Georgia has only kept this notion at bay because of the Metro Atlanta Chamber of Commerce threats, but if another GOP governor with more A'OK with religious freedom statutes then those Metro Atlanta Chamber threats will be null and void.

These GOP governors/legislators eventually bow to the will of the business community. It's no different in GA.

I actually agree, measuring intelligence by what University an individual attends is beyond illogical.
