I don't use Uber that much. But I check it often on my phone just as a back up of sorts.

It seems to me like the rates have been doing up around here over the past several months. By here I mean Hoover area.

Has anyone else noticed the same thing? There's several cars available so they must be doing some good business.

Depends on level of demand. There are times of day where Uber charges more.

Yeah the rates are totally dependent on demand. If rates are rising, it means there's not as many drivers. When rates rise, you get more drivers on the roads. Balancing act.

If the Statewide Rideshare Act legislation is able to become law then likely the rates for Uber and Lyft will go down. It will allow all jurisdictions statewide to ability to have rideshare services.
