Hoover is one of the fastest growing cities in the country! Lots of anything you could want.

Not too expensive, overall Birmingham is affordable, but that may also depend on where you are coming from and what your cost of living is.

Need a few specifics but you'll be pleasantly suprised. Hoover is one of the best areas as for as being close to everything and not actually living int the city. We've lived in and around here several years and I'm a native Bama boy from just outside of town. If you want quiet friendly neighborhoods, great schools and all the restraunts, shopping and entertainment then you're looking in the right area. Low crime rates due to a rather large police dept for a city of our size, I quite often don't lock my doors although we do have a few large dogs(Akitas) but still haven't had anything but some lawn equipment stolen several years ago and they were caught in a couple of weeks. I'd recommend Bluff Park/Shades Crest Rd area or Vestavia just across the inteerstate.
