Default CHD Grief Support Group

Does anyone who has lost a child due to CHD know of any grief support groups in B'ham for these families/parents? Thanks

Sorry, I don't but I do know of an internet site for people who are dealing with a loss of a child, spouse or family.

We have been trying to get such a forum on City-data.

I found it very helpful when I lost my husband. They have a moderator who is online and moderates the forum. You can share your thoughts with others who know the pain you are going through.

Call the Mental Health Association in your county/community. They often sponsor such groups, or at least know where to find them. You might also call Children's Hospital and ask for a social worker or chaplain. They should have some contacts they can pass on to you.

You might also try the UAB Hospital System's website, St. Vincent's Hospital, or Brookwood Medical Center....all of these hospitals have connections to the various support=group programs in our area. Best wishes, and good luck in your search.
