Default Help (Housing)

Hi. My husband and daughter and I are currently living in the Huffman area and are quite frankly afraid to live here anymore. We've been looking at houses in the Birmingham area and are getting discouraged. Things are so expensive now!

We're looking for:

A 2 bedroom 1 bath house for $700/month (or less, preferably!) in an area within 45 minutes of downtown Birmingham. Any direction. The area doesn't have to be a big one - it can be a small community, but my daughter is 15 1/2 and doesn't want to be out in the boonies with no shopping. (She really likes the Gardendale/Fultondale area - something similar would be nice.) We really need help.

Thanks!

Have you checked out Trussville? I don't know much about it, but seems like it has been recommendations here.

Your other option would be to move further out to a smaller town. I know there are several towns where you can get a very nice rental in your price range but they would probably be more like an hour away from downtown B'ham.
