Mountain Brook schools are excellent. No doubt about that. You should look into preschools immediately because the waitlists are long (as in my daughter was on the list at 6 weeks old).

Smile Moody City Schools in St.Clair County

We relocated from Florida 7-08. Things are different, they have 4 schools pre-k4 thru 3rd is elementry, middle is 4-6, jr high 7-9, high is 10-12. My husbands job moved us here and you can get a lot of house in this small town of Moody 20 min to anywhere you want to be. My husband works in Vestavia. I unfortunately, have been laid off from the medical field x 2 since moving here. Moody city schools are advanced math, science and reading. We bought a new constructed house when we moved here, all brick with stone accent and a finished daylight basement 5/3 or 4/3 with an office. We have it on the market for 260,000 and we now have to downgrade. We bought it for 262,000. If you want more info email me.
