Default Good Quality/good value furniture -ordering ok

There was a recent post about furniture fast. I was hoping for some store names or other options for Birmingham. Waiting 2 months is ok. We'll probably visit B'ham prior to our move and order then.

I don't think I will get to High Point for furniture buying, though I do like that quality. We'll need kitchen set, upholstered furniture, and rugs.

Are there any NC style places in B'ham? I do go for quality but prices need to be reasonable. NO fake wood or cheap stuff that will fall apart. Someplace with a designer to guide would be nice too.

You can go to the Thomasville of Birmingham store, but be selective about what you buy. Or you could attend market, you have to know someone with a tax id, however.

Even High Point is not like it used to be. Furniture manufacturing has moved overseas and many, many of the plants in the U.S. have shut down.

I think you should consider hitting the Lakeview District, where there are furniture stores and antique shops galore.
