I am sure you could find a 4/3 in Bluff Park. I don't think most houses would have a basement but maybe a few might. We have several 4/3s in our new home community and I am sure there are several older homes too with that configuration. The zip code for the area is 35226 if that helps you with your search.

Thanks so much! I am really anxious to check this neighborhood and surrounding areas out. What would be the best way to get there. I am coming from Montgomery.

Have you considered Vestavia? There's a small neighborhood called Rosemont off Rocky Ridge that has some lovely lots and several houses for sale.

Coming north on 65, take 459 to the first exit Hwy 31 North/Montgomery Hwy. Turn left on Patton Chapel Rd (about the 2nd light left) -- across from Crest Cadillac/Hummer dealership. Follow Patton Chapel about 2 miles where you'll pass between 2 schools. Continue up the mountain where Patton Chapel will turn into Chapel. As I understand it, Bluff Park begins right at the top of that mountain. The first neighborhood on the left is Chapel Creek and it has a model home with agents there daily. Continue up Chapel Rd until you see Park Avenue and take a right on Park. You can wind your way around Park. Look at the homes on Shades Crest with incredible views of the valley below. You can see Ross Bridge from there.

Look in historic Forest Park or Historic Trussville. I prefer Forest
Park. They definitely have basements in both of these areas.

I just did a quick search for the Hoover, Mountain Brook, Homewood, Forest Park Crestwood areas and found over 140 houses that have 4 bedrooms and 3 baths and about 80 percent of those have some kind of basement. These are all homes built before 1960 by the way.
