Default Commuting from Birmingham to Tuscaloosa

Does anyone have any feedback on what a daily commute from Birmingham to Tuscaloosa would be like for work...are there any areas in between the two that are highly recommended??? Any idea how long the commute would be during rush hour? Thanks for any help

If you want a good middle ground, Hueytown, Bessemer and/or McCalla are all easy commutes to both areas. Downtown Birmingham off the I-20/59 would be about 20 mins, even during rush hour and downtown Tuscaloosa is about 45 Mins during rush hour.

However, if you would be more specific as to where in Birmingham and and where in Tuscaloosa, you can get a more specific answer.

Hope this helps.

I live in Birmingham, and commute to Tuscaloosa every week for school. On average it will take an hour and fifteen minutes.

Yeah, I know people in Tuscaloosa who commute to Birmingham daily.

If it were me, I'd look around the Tannehill/McCalla area, with a slight preference on the Tuscaloosa County side. The property tax in Tuscaloosa County is a little less than in Jefferson County, I think, and it's an easy, straightforward commute either way.
