Default looking for a good barber/stylest

Hello, I'm pretty new to Birmingham, been here a few months now from Arkansas. I'm having trouble finding a good barber or hair stylist for myself. I've called around and no one even seems to know what my style is (a flowhawk) and it's kind of odd you would think a town this large would not be behind a smaller town in Arkansas but I’m kind of worried haha. If anyone knows of a good barber that even has an open mind that is competent would be awesome as well. Thanks to anyone that can help, my hair is getting way to long haha.

Did you mean fauxhawk? That could be why they don't know what you're talking about.

If you are near Inverness 280 area - there's a guy in the Bruno's shopping area that does a great job. He's one of the few who still know how to do a real flat top too. I can get his name if you wish Moderator cut: email

Hey everyone thanks for your help, yes I meant faux hawk (oops) and now I've been calling around and no one knows what I’m talking about who is the guy in the Bruno's shopping area, does he have a shop? And about Crystal Montgomery at Hair Impressions, does she cut guys hair well, my experience in the past if they are not a guy they do fine but not great (I’m sure it's my stereotype, can get pasted)

Welcome to Birmingham. I'm originally from Arkansas too and I love Birmingham. I have had good luck here with Michael at Head Start in Homewood next to Publix. With 5 kids I refuse to spend an arm and a leg for a haircut. He does get a lot of business though and it is first come first served. Good luck!
