Is there a big difference between the Baptists and Catholics?

Oh, they're all Bible teaching. It's just that some teach whatever floats their boat at the moment.
And, yes, there's an enormous difference between Baptist and Catholic. I can't even begin to explain all the differences. At the same the EWTN (The Catholic television network) is based here.

I have no firm statistics to back me up, but just from my experience, Catholics are a large portion of B'ham. Maybe not the majority, but close to it, all thanks to the heavy influx of Italians in the earlier part of the 20th century.
It would be interesting to find out the actual statistics.

Southlander, according to this source Birmingham (Diocese) [Catholic-Hierarchy] Catholics made up 3.5% of the population in the B'ham diocese in 2006. That is the highest percentage recorded since the first census in 1970, a year after this diocese was formed.
You just happen to know a lot of good folks in B'ham. :-)
