Default small towns outside calera

hello,i am looking to move to the calera area to raise a family looking for small town around calera,was going to live in mobile but that didnt work out any ideas thank you

What do you consider small? The only place I'm somewhat familiar with near there is Montevallo, because there is a university there. It's a small place though, approximate population 5000.
