Gay Families with Children in Birmingham?
My partner and I recently relocated from San Diego to Birmingham. We have a 2 1/2 yr old son. We have just begun to explore the city and are wondering if there are other gay / lesbian parents out there with young children. If so....where are you??

I'm sure that there are more than a few in the Southside/Forest Park/Crestwood neighborhoods. When we lived in Avondale, we knew 3 different families.

Agreed.
We're not as bad about gays as anyone thinks, and that's coming from an alabama native. |

I am relocating to Birmingham in a few months; my partner is already located there. We have 4 kids (ages 15, 13, 2, and 1) and would love to meet other families. I'd love to hear back from you. |

East Lake is another neighborhood that has several same sex familys. East Lake is on the cusp of a becoming the next gay friendly neighborhood and the houses are going for a steal. There is a group here in town that meets for same sex couples with children. I will try and locate this number and get back with you.

We are relocating to BH in December from New York and are looking for other gay parents. We have a 18 month old daughter and would like her to meet other children like her. |
